Start with an accurate handover
How we help
An arrival is not the same as usable inventory. Missing paperwork, mixed SKUs and unexplained quantity differences can follow a shipment into storage and become harder to resolve when the goods are needed for an order.
BrownBag receives inbound goods against the information you provide and checks the agreed identifiers, quantities and visible condition. We separate the arrival record from decisions about discrepancies so your team can understand what reached the warehouse and what needs attention. This gives put-away and stock planning a dependable starting point.

How the work is handled
Prepare the expected receipt
Collect the purchase or transfer reference, SKU list, carton breakdown and expected quantities. Agree the counting level and checks required for the shipment, including whether sealed cases will be recorded as cases or opened for unit checks.
Check and record the arrival
Match the delivered goods to the expected receipt and record the checks included in scope. Note visible packaging damage, unidentified items and quantity differences so they can be reviewed before the affected goods move into normal stock.
Release stock to its next step
Share the receipt and exception record with the nominated contact. Move accepted goods towards put-away or preparation, while keeping unresolved items identifiable until your team provides the instruction needed to complete the handover.

Your questions, answered
Can you receive mixed-SKU shipments?
Yes. A clear carton breakdown and product identifiers help us separate the receipt correctly. We agree the sorting and counting work before the shipment is processed.
Does receiving include a product-quality inspection?
Receiving covers the checks defined for the handover, such as quantity and visible condition. Product testing or a deeper quality inspection can be discussed as a separate scope.
