How we help

A clear label in the wrong place can still cause a problem. Mixed artwork versions, changed quantities or a shipment label attached to another order can undo otherwise careful product preparation.

BrownBag handles label preparation and application against the files and instructions agreed for your goods. We distinguish product information, warehouse or carton identification and carrier shipping labels, because each serves a different purpose. You gain a consistent method for matching the label to the item, carton or parcel it describes.

The work, step by step

How the work is handled

  1. Confirm the label and its purpose

Review the approved artwork or generated label file, the products it applies to and the required placement. Identify which labels are supplied by you and which come from a marketplace, warehouse record or carrier booking workflow.

  2. Apply the approved version

Prepare the work by product or shipment reference and apply labels to the agreed packaging level. Check the first prepared example against the instructions and keep different versions or order batches clearly separated during the work.

  3. Check the match before handover

Check label identity, placement and the agreed readability requirements. Record completed quantities and exceptions, then hand the goods to storage, packing or dispatch with the relevant references preserved for the next team.

Your questions, answered

Can this include shipping labels?

Yes. Carrier labels come from the supported booking, connector or portal workflow and remain linked to the shipment reference. Their required format is kept separate from custom packing slips or product labels.

Can existing labels be replaced?

Share the existing and replacement versions, packaging and reason for the change. We agree the removal or covering method and checks before processing the batch so important information is not lost.
