Keep customers informed as orders move
How we help
A payment reminder can arrive after payment, or a shipping message can go out before a parcel is dispatched. These problems usually start with unclear event ownership, duplicated records or messages triggered from the wrong status.
BrownBag maps the journey from the first order details to confirmation, payment and delivery updates. We agree which system owns each event, what information a message needs and how to prevent repeated or contradictory notifications across the channels in scope.

How the work is handled
Map order entry and triggers
Review where orders begin, which fields are required and when a draft becomes a confirmed order. Separate payment confirmation from order creation and dispatch from label preparation.
Connect messages to verified events
Configure the supported connections and approved message content. Set recipients, channel preferences, timing rules and suppression conditions for paid, cancelled or already-notified orders.
Exercise the exception paths
Test duplicate callbacks, late events, missing contact details and failed sends. Give the team a way to see the unresolved items and decide whether to retry, correct or contact the customer directly.

Your questions, answered
Can we start with just payment reminders?
Yes. We can scope reminders around an agreed unpaid-order state, stop them when payment is confirmed and route uncertain cases to staff. Shipping updates and other messages can follow as separate work.
Does this replace our order-management system?
The workflow connects to the agreed destination for order records. We first decide where the confirmed order belongs, then automate capture and updates without creating another competing order list.
