The problem we help solve
A clearer handoff. Less uncertainty.
Local payment preferences vary by market, and a return page alone does not provide the operational record needed to fulfil and reconcile an order.
How BrownBag helps
We scope a Tap integration around the methods available to your approved merchant account. The implementation connects the charge lifecycle, customer authentication or redirect flow and your internal order reference.
From requirement to operation
Your Tap Payments workflow
Confirm market and method fit
Review the merchant entity, processing markets and enabled payment methods before choosing the integration approach.
Implement charge and status handling
Connect the supported charge flow and documented server notifications or status checks. Distinguish pending and completed outcomes.
Test the post-payment operation
Exercise failed and cancelled attempts, refunds where enabled and transaction reporting. Hand over the support path for uncertain outcomes.
What we can deliver
- Market-specific payment flow
- Order-linked charge and status integration
- Exception and reconciliation guide
We agree the systems, responsibilities, acceptance checks and support arrangements before implementation begins.
Define the right scope
Tap determines onboarding and available methods. Regional methods are not automatically available to every business, and merchant payouts or marketplace splitting need separate approved products.
Provider requirements and interfaces can change. We recheck the applicable documentation and account access when scoping your project.
Official Tap Payments reference →Your questions, answered
Can we offer different methods in different markets?
We can scope the checkout around the methods enabled for each merchant setup. The provider must confirm eligibility, currencies and the correct account configuration first.
What should we include in the first brief?
Share your current store and systems, provider account status, target markets and the workflow you want to improve. Include typical volumes and the person responsible for operations. Do not send passwords, API keys or customer records.
