The problem we help solve
A clearer handoff. Less uncertainty.
A customer returns from checkout, but the order is still pending—or an interrupted browser session leaves staff unsure whether the payment succeeded.
How BrownBag helps
We scope Stripe Checkout or an appropriate supported integration around your checkout experience, then connect verified payment outcomes to the order system. Subscription work is included only where it fits your approved business model.
From requirement to operation
Your Stripe workflow
Choose the checkout experience
Compare hosted, embedded and customised options against your storefront and payment-data responsibilities. Confirm the merchant account and enabled methods.
Connect the payment lifecycle
Link checkout sessions to order references and handle supported server notifications with duplicate-event protection. Keep pending and paid states distinct.
Test fulfilment and refunds
Exercise successful, declined, abandoned and delayed outcomes. Verify that refunds and payment references reach finance without triggering duplicate fulfilment.
What we can deliver
- Checkout and order-state mapping
- Server-event handling and retry rules
- Refund and reconciliation test records
We agree the systems, responsibilities, acceptance checks and support arrangements before implementation begins.
Define the right scope
Stripe account approval, supported business country, bank account, currencies and payment methods must be confirmed directly. A Pakistan-based owner does not automatically qualify for every overseas Stripe account or feature.
Provider requirements and interfaces can change. We recheck the applicable documentation and account access when scoping your project.
Official Stripe reference →Your questions, answered
Can you add subscriptions as well as one-time payments?
Where Stripe enables the relevant products for your merchant account, we can scope recurring billing, renewal events and failed-payment handling separately from a one-time checkout.
What should we include in the first brief?
Share your current store and systems, provider account status, target markets and the workflow you want to improve. Include typical volumes and the person responsible for operations. Do not send passwords, API keys or customer records.
