The problem we help solve
A clearer handoff. Less uncertainty.
Your team can collect a payment but still has to match it to an order manually. A customer returning from checkout, a payment link and a portal refund can each leave a different version of the transaction.
How BrownBag helps
We help define and implement the Alfa Payment Gateway journey around your store and approved merchant setup. The work covers checkout configuration, reliable order references and a practical process for payment exceptions.
From requirement to operation
Your Alfa Payment Gateway · Bank Alfalah workflow
Choose the supported connection
Review your merchant account, store platform and bank-supplied integration documentation. Compare an available plugin with the approved redirection or API route. Agree which enabled payment methods belong in checkout and what must remain an assisted portal task.
Connect payments to the order desk
Map the order number, amount and bank transaction reference. Implement the confirmation and verification flow specified for your selected integration, then define when staff can release an order. Keep unsuccessful attempts separate from successful payments.
Rehearse refunds and reconciliation
Test interrupted checkout, retry behaviour and unmatched transactions in the bank-provided test setup. Walk the finance team through portal records and supported refund actions. Document how to investigate a discrepancy before changing an order or asking the customer to pay again.
What we can deliver
- Approved integration route and checkout field map
- Order-to-bank transaction mapping and exception rules
- Payment test evidence and portal reconciliation handover
We agree the systems, responsibilities, acceptance checks and support arrangements before implementation begins.
Define the right scope
Bank Alfalah determines merchant approval, account limits and available payment modes. We confirm the current merchant guide and credentials before implementation; portal-only actions remain assisted unless the bank exposes an approved interface. Settlement terms and banking services remain with the bank.
Provider requirements and interfaces can change. We recheck the applicable documentation and account access when scoping your project.

Can we start with payment links before integrating a full store?
Yes, where PayByLink is enabled for your merchant account. We can define invoice references, customer instructions and a daily matching process, then scope store integration separately when you need payments to update orders automatically.
What should we include in the first brief?
Share your current store and systems, provider account status, target markets and the workflow you want to improve. Include typical volumes and the person responsible for operations. Do not send passwords, API keys or customer records.
