The problem we help solve
A clearer handoff. Less uncertainty.
Warehouse teams and customer support need consistent shipment references, but manual handoffs can lose cancellations, delivery exceptions and return updates.
How BrownBag helps
We review the current Trax service and account interfaces with your operations team. The integration plan identifies which booking and tracking functions are available through approved access and which require assisted handling.
From requirement to operation
Your Trax workflow
Confirm the current service setup
Review your account, pickup locations, parcel profile and the supported integration or portal documentation supplied by Trax.
Map the operational handoff
Align source orders, shipment references and the permitted status updates. Specify the action owner for cancellations or changes after booking.
Test delivery exceptions
Walk through delayed delivery, failed attempts and returns using representative records. Agree how support and warehouse staff reconcile unresolved cases.
What we can deliver
- Account and interface capability review
- Order-to-shipment connection plan
- Delivery and return exception runbook
We agree the systems, responsibilities, acceptance checks and support arrangements before implementation begins.
Ready for dispatch
Shipping labels, packing slips & dispatch
Connect courier shipment booking to the AWB or consignment number, then prepare the documents the packing team needs. Carrier-provided shipping labels and custom printable packing documents have different roles.
For Trax, we review the current account interface and label specification supplied by the courier. Batch generation, manifest submission and reattempt actions are included only where the approved interface supports them.
- Individual and bulk shipping label generation or retrieval through the carrier’s supported API, connector or portal
- Thermal and A4 printing where the carrier’s label formats and your printer setup support them
- Reprints of an existing shipment label without creating a duplicate booking
- Custom packing slips and dispatch manifests; carrier acceptance and manifest formats confirmed separately
- Tracking, COD reconciliation and returns linked to the same shipment reference
Carrier labels retain the courier’s required barcodes and layout. We verify format, batch and reprint support for each account before automating. A custom packing slip is not a substitute for a carrier-issued label. This website describes implementation services; it does not book live shipments or generate carrier labels.
Scope your label workflow →Define the right scope
The Trax public website currently redirects to SLG Trax. Account-specific API access, carrier status codes and automated return or reattempt functions require confirmation. Delivery outcomes and charges remain governed by the courier arrangement.
Provider requirements and interfaces can change. We recheck the applicable documentation and account access when scoping your project.
Official Trax reference →Your questions, answered
Can the connector automatically request a reattempt?
Only if the approved courier interface supports that action for your account. Otherwise we create an assigned follow-up task and record the courier response rather than presenting it as automatic.
What should we include in the first brief?
Share your current store and systems, provider account status, target markets and the workflow you want to improve. Include typical volumes and the person responsible for operations. Do not send passwords, API keys or customer records.
Can you handle bulk labels, thermal printing and reprints?
For Trax, we review the current account interface and label specification supplied by the courier. Batch generation, manifest submission and reattempt actions are included only where the approved interface supports them. We verify thermal/A4 compatibility and distinguish carrier labels from custom packing slips. Reprinting uses the existing shipment reference rather than creating another booking.
