The problem we help solve
A clearer handoff. Less uncertainty.
Orders are ready to leave the warehouse, but booking references, delivery updates and collection records are spread across separate tools. Customer support cannot see the same picture as dispatch.
How BrownBag helps
We help bring your TCS shipping operation into a consistent order workflow. The scope starts with your account’s services and available booking or tracking interfaces, then connects warehouse handoffs and exception follow-up.
From requirement to operation
Your TCS workflow
Map the dispatch requirements
Confirm pickup points, service types, parcel details, COD amounts and the TCS account arrangement. Review approved API, connector or portal access.
Connect booking to the order
Prepare shipment data and link the returned consignment reference to the source order. Use supported automation where available and document any portal-assisted step.
Track delivery and close exceptions
Give support a view of tracking references and unresolved deliveries. Reconcile available COD remittance records separately from the parcel delivery status.
What we can deliver
- Order-to-consignment mapping
- Scoped booking and tracking workflow
- COD reconciliation and exception handover
We agree the systems, responsibilities, acceptance checks and support arrangements before implementation begins.
Ready for dispatch
Shipping labels, packing slips & dispatch
Connect courier shipment booking to the AWB or consignment number, then prepare the documents the packing team needs. Carrier-provided shipping labels and custom printable packing documents have different roles.
For TCS, we confirm the label retrieval and batch-print options exposed by your approved account or connector. The consignment number stays linked to the order through printing, manifest preparation and any reprint.
- Individual and bulk shipping label generation or retrieval through the carrier’s supported API, connector or portal
- Thermal and A4 printing where the carrier’s label formats and your printer setup support them
- Reprints of an existing shipment label without creating a duplicate booking
- Custom packing slips and dispatch manifests; carrier acceptance and manifest formats confirmed separately
- Tracking, COD reconciliation and returns linked to the same shipment reference
Carrier labels retain the courier’s required barcodes and layout. We verify format, batch and reprint support for each account before automating. A custom packing slip is not a substitute for a carrier-issued label. This website describes implementation services; it does not book live shipments or generate carrier labels.
Scope your label workflow →Define the right scope
TCS controls coverage, service availability, charges and delivery outcomes. API access and supported functions must be confirmed for the account. We do not promise automatic reattempts, guaranteed delivery times or direct access to every courier function.
Provider requirements and interfaces can change. We recheck the applicable documentation and account access when scoping your project.
Official TCS reference →Your questions, answered
Can prepaid and COD shipments use the same workflow?
Yes. We separate payment type and collection amount in the shipment mapping, then define different reconciliation checks so prepaid orders are not mistakenly treated as cash collections.
What should we include in the first brief?
Share your current store and systems, provider account status, target markets and the workflow you want to improve. Include typical volumes and the person responsible for operations. Do not send passwords, API keys or customer records.
Can you handle bulk labels, thermal printing and reprints?
For TCS, we confirm the label retrieval and batch-print options exposed by your approved account or connector. The consignment number stays linked to the order through printing, manifest preparation and any reprint. We verify thermal/A4 compatibility and distinguish carrier labels from custom packing slips. Reprinting uses the existing shipment reference rather than creating another booking.
