Logistics & shipping

PostEx shipping & label integration

Connect PostEx shipment operations with order visibility and a clearer cash-reconciliation process.

The problem we help solve

A clearer handoff. Less uncertainty.

Delivery status and cash availability are treated as the same event, leaving finance unsure which orders are delivered, settled or subject to a separate commercial arrangement.

How BrownBag helps

We scope the PostEx connection around your merchant account, logistics workflow and available integration options. Shipment data, tracking references and financial records are mapped as related but distinct records.

From requirement to operation

Your PostEx workflow

  1. Review the merchant arrangement

Confirm pickup points, fulfilment flow and the PostEx services enabled for your account. Record any finance-related terms separately from the technical integration.

  2. Connect shipment references

Map orders to the supported booking or connector flow. Keep tracking identifiers available to the warehouse and customer-support teams.

  3. Reconcile delivery and collections

Compare courier status and merchant reports with the order ledger. Route differences, returned parcels and unresolved collections to an accountable owner.

What we can deliver

  • Merchant workflow and data map
  • Scoped shipment connector or assisted handoff
  • Delivery and financial reconciliation process

We agree the systems, responsibilities, acceptance checks and support arrangements before implementation begins.

Ready for dispatch

Shipping labels, packing slips & dispatch

Connect courier shipment booking to the AWB or consignment number, then prepare the documents the packing team needs. Carrier-provided shipping labels and custom printable packing documents have different roles.

For PostEx, shipment booking and label references are kept separate from financing and collection records. We confirm the account’s supported label downloads, batch options and reprint behaviour before automation.

  • Individual and bulk shipping label generation or retrieval through the carrier’s supported API, connector or portal
  • Thermal and A4 printing where the carrier’s label formats and your printer setup support them
  • Reprints of an existing shipment label without creating a duplicate booking
  • Custom packing slips and dispatch manifests; carrier acceptance and manifest formats confirmed separately
  • Tracking, COD reconciliation and returns linked to the same shipment reference

Carrier labels retain the courier’s required barcodes and layout. We verify format, batch and reprint support for each account before automating. A custom packing slip is not a substitute for a carrier-issued label. This website describes implementation services; it does not book live shipments or generate carrier labels.

Scope your label workflow →

Define the right scope

PostEx controls logistics services, account access and financing eligibility. Upfront payments or financing are separate provider products and are not guaranteed by a BrownBag integration. Availability and settlement terms follow your contract.

Provider requirements and interfaces can change. We recheck the applicable documentation and account access when scoping your project.

Your questions, answered

Does integrating PostEx automatically give us upfront payments?

No. Any financing or upfront-payment arrangement is subject to PostEx’s own product terms and approval. We keep those financial records distinct from shipment booking and tracking.

What should we include in the first brief?

Share your current store and systems, provider account status, target markets and the workflow you want to improve. Include typical volumes and the person responsible for operations. Do not send passwords, API keys or customer records.

Can you handle bulk labels, thermal printing and reprints?

For PostEx, shipment booking and label references are kept separate from financing and collection records. We confirm the account’s supported label downloads, batch options and reprint behaviour before automation. We verify thermal/A4 compatibility and distinguish carrier labels from custom packing slips. Reprinting uses the existing shipment reference rather than creating another booking.
