Logistics & shipping

M&P shipping & label integration

Connect M&P courier services with your dispatch, tracking and COD reconciliation routines.

The problem we help solve

A clearer handoff. Less uncertainty.

Different shipment services and account arrangements require different operational decisions. A single generic booking process can choose the wrong service or leave finance without the right references.

How BrownBag helps

We help map your M&P account and selected courier or COD services into the order workflow. The connection is designed around the interfaces and reports available to the actual account.

From requirement to operation

Your M&P workflow

  1. Define service selection

Review destinations, pickup locations, parcel requirements and the relevant retail or corporate COD arrangement. Agree who selects and approves the shipping service.

  2. Connect the shipment record

Map booking fields and consignment references through an approved connector or controlled portal process. Keep the selected service visible on the order.

  3. Reconcile delivery and money

Connect tracking information to support, then match available COD statements and charges to the order ledger with a separate exception queue.

What we can deliver

  • Service-selection and booking rules
  • Consignment and tracking data mapping
  • COD statement reconciliation handover

We agree the systems, responsibilities, acceptance checks and support arrangements before implementation begins.

Ready for dispatch

Shipping labels, packing slips & dispatch

Connect courier shipment booking to the AWB or consignment number, then prepare the documents the packing team needs. Carrier-provided shipping labels and custom printable packing documents have different roles.

For M&P, we check the label and manifest requirements for the selected service and COD arrangement. A supported portal workflow can remain assisted where no approved label API is available.

  • Individual and bulk shipping label generation or retrieval through the carrier’s supported API, connector or portal
  • Thermal and A4 printing where the carrier’s label formats and your printer setup support them
  • Reprints of an existing shipment label without creating a duplicate booking
  • Custom packing slips and dispatch manifests; carrier acceptance and manifest formats confirmed separately
  • Tracking, COD reconciliation and returns linked to the same shipment reference

Carrier labels retain the courier’s required barcodes and layout. We verify format, batch and reprint support for each account before automating. A custom packing slip is not a substitute for a carrier-issued label. This website describes implementation services; it does not book live shipments or generate carrier labels.

Scope your label workflow →

Define the right scope

M&P determines coverage, service schedules, rates and account terms. Published tracking access does not by itself establish a write API for booking or return requests; those capabilities are confirmed during scoping.

Provider requirements and interfaces can change. We recheck the applicable documentation and account access when scoping your project.

Your questions, answered

Can we use different M&P services for different orders?

We can define service-selection rules around destination, package and timing requirements. The chosen services must be available under your account and confirmed before orders are automatically routed.

What should we include in the first brief?

Share your current store and systems, provider account status, target markets and the workflow you want to improve. Include typical volumes and the person responsible for operations. Do not send passwords, API keys or customer records.

Can you handle bulk labels, thermal printing and reprints?

For M&P, we check the label and manifest requirements for the selected service and COD arrangement. A supported portal workflow can remain assisted where no approved label API is available. We verify thermal/A4 compatibility and distinguish carrier labels from custom packing slips. Reprinting uses the existing shipment reference rather than creating another booking.
