The problem we help solve
A clearer handoff. Less uncertainty.
An order’s delivery journey can become disconnected from inventory and customer care, particularly when failed deliveries or returned parcels need attention from several teams.
How BrownBag helps
We scope the BlueEX operational connection around your merchant account and current supported interfaces. The workflow links shipment references, available tracking information and warehouse follow-up without hiding manual steps.
From requirement to operation
Your BlueEX workflow
Review the ecommerce operation
Confirm order volume, pickup locations, parcel handling needs and the BlueEX services and connection options available to the account.
Link orders and shipments
Map booking data and returned references using the approved integration route. Define validation checks for addresses, quantities and collection amounts.
Close delivery and return loops
Connect available status information to support tasks. Track returned parcels through inspection and restocking, and reconcile collection reports separately.
What we can deliver
- Merchant and shipment mapping
- Scoped logistics connector or assisted workflow
- Return and collection exception process
We agree the systems, responsibilities, acceptance checks and support arrangements before implementation begins.
Ready for dispatch
Shipping labels, packing slips & dispatch
Connect courier shipment booking to the AWB or consignment number, then prepare the documents the packing team needs. Carrier-provided shipping labels and custom printable packing documents have different roles.
For BlueEX, we confirm the supported booking response, label format and consignment reference. Returned parcels keep the original shipment link while a separately approved replacement shipment receives its own label.
- Individual and bulk shipping label generation or retrieval through the carrier’s supported API, connector or portal
- Thermal and A4 printing where the carrier’s label formats and your printer setup support them
- Reprints of an existing shipment label without creating a duplicate booking
- Custom packing slips and dispatch manifests; carrier acceptance and manifest formats confirmed separately
- Tracking, COD reconciliation and returns linked to the same shipment reference
Carrier labels retain the courier’s required barcodes and layout. We verify format, batch and reprint support for each account before automating. A custom packing slip is not a substitute for a carrier-issued label. This website describes implementation services; it does not book live shipments or generate carrier labels.
Scope your label workflow →Define the right scope
BlueEX controls account permissions, coverage and commercial terms. The exact API operations and reporting fields are confirmed from current provider documentation; customs, freight and specialist services require a separate scope.
Provider requirements and interfaces can change. We recheck the applicable documentation and account access when scoping your project.
Official BlueEX reference →Your questions, answered
Will a returned parcel automatically become available stock?
No. We recommend a received-and-inspected step before restocking. The workflow can record the courier return and then wait for the warehouse’s condition check and approved stock adjustment.
What should we include in the first brief?
Share your current store and systems, provider account status, target markets and the workflow you want to improve. Include typical volumes and the person responsible for operations. Do not send passwords, API keys or customer records.
Can you handle bulk labels, thermal printing and reprints?
For BlueEX, we confirm the supported booking response, label format and consignment reference. Returned parcels keep the original shipment link while a separately approved replacement shipment receives its own label. We verify thermal/A4 compatibility and distinguish carrier labels from custom packing slips. Reprinting uses the existing shipment reference rather than creating another booking.
